Kent TouchTec Kings fans are cheered this morning by the news that their number one Drew Kemp is fit to take his place in an unchanged team to face Thurrock Hammers in the annual Tunnel Trophy competition at at Central Park Stadium at 4pm today (Bank Holiday Monday 6/5).
The GB U21 finalist did have to withdraw with an injured knee from his match for Sheffield yesterday but the knee is strapped up and he's declared ready to go this afternoon.
Alex Spooner also rides despite broken bones in his foot.
Kent Team Manager Chris Hunt commented, "With a vital National Trophy match against Plymouth next Monday and a fortnight since our only outing so far on our home circuit, it's very important for the lads to all be out there today. The Thurrock side features track specialist Ben Morley and the in-form Nathan Stoneman (both ex-Kings of course) and is overall a very strong side so it will be the perfect challenge for the team. It's great news that Drew, Alex and Nathan Ablitt, so unluckily injured in our opening meeting, are all riding."
