Kent Touch Kings can leap-frog today’s opponents Isle of Wight Warriors and go to the top of the National League [NL] standings with a win of seven points or more at Central Park this evening (8/7 - 6.30pm start time).
It’s an NL debut for the man of the moment, young reserve currently standing in for the missing Nathan Ablitt, Jake Mulford. The 15-year-old from Norwich is in his first season of senior Grasstrack too and what an impact he is making – finishing runner up yesterday (Sunday) in the British 250cc Championships of Speedway’s ‘sister’ sport at Writtle near Chelmsford in Essex.
It was a productive weekend also for Anders Rowe who returns to the Kent line up after his sojourn last week with home town club Swindon. The in-form Rowe ‘guested’ for Plymouth up at Stoke and in a Knock-Oup Cup quarter final and top scored with 12+1. That certainly bodes well for this coming Saturday back at Stoke when Anders will be joined by Drew Kemp, Jordan Jenkins & Rob Ledwith in the Kings’ quartet hoping to add the National Trophy in the Central Park silverware cabinet.
NB. Previous preview said Drew was in World Cup action on Saturday – that of course should have read Friday (12/7) when the Kent number one dons the Union Flag race jacket for Team GB in the U21 World Cup Final at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester.

Kent TouchTec Kings: Jacob Clouting; Jordan Jenkins; Drew Kemp; James Laker; Rob Ledwith; Anders Rowe; Alex Spooner
