With National League [NL] Play Off qualification confirmed, Kent TouchTec Kings can now confirm details of their remaining home fixtures at Central Park Stadium.
Monday 23rd. September - Play Off Semi-final [opponents to be confirmed - see below]
Monday 30th. September - Kent Laurels (for the WJ Cearns Trophy) (Individual)
Monday 7th. October - Reserved for Play Off Final - followed by Grand Fireworks Display
With the TouchTec Kings' one remaining away fixture in the NL proper, away to Cradley Heathens now rearranged (following a rain off on 9/9) for Monday 16th. September, this means they'll be NO FIXTURE at Central Park Stadium on that Monday date. The next home fixture will be the semi-final first leg of the Play Offs - opponents to be confirmed - on Monday 23rd. September.
In terms of the NL Play Offs, the top three have been confirmed: Leicester Lion Cubs, Belle Vue Colts and Kent. The team topping the table (looking likely to be Leicester) will have the pick of the sides to decide who they are to meet in the semis - with then the other two from the top four meeting in the other S/F.
The cut-off date for qualification is the 19th. - with the destiny of the fourth place and final slot in the semis between three clubs: Cradley Heathens, Mildenhall Fen Tigers and the side currently in fourth place: Isle of Wight Warriors. The three teams each have one match left: the team currently in the box seat, the IOW Warriors go to table toppers Leicester on Tuesday 10th. September; Cradley of course take on the TouchTec Kings at home on Monday 16th.; while the Suffolk side, Mildenhall Fen Tigers have to wait until the final day to go to Plymouth on the 19th. to try and clinch their place in the Play Offs this year.
With this still to be decided, the opponents for Kent the Play Off S/F on the 23rd. is not yet known - details will be posted as soon as confirmed.
After the two legs of the semi, the Kent TouchTec Kings of course intend to be in the Final and October 7th. is set aside for the home leg of the two-legged title decider. This will in any circumstances though, be the final meeting of the season; and if not the Play Off Final, it will be a top quality match. The season will then close with a Grand Fireworks Display - which will be the biggest ever seen at the stadium.
