It's a case of trusting that it'll be third time lucky tonight (Friday 4/10) at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester as the Kent TouchTec Kings contest the vital first leg of the National League Play Off semi-final.
The match was called off yesterday (Thursday) due to heavy rain again in the evening but the Belle Vue management, to their great credit, moved really quickly to reschedule for the following day and the teams reconvene at 7.30pm this evening.
And it's highly likely now that the team facing the winners of this crunch semi in the Play Off Final itself will be NL table-toppers Leicester Lion Cubs after the East vs West Midlands clash between Cradley & Leicester held at Birmingham on Wednesday ended with a 53-37 win to the visitors - with their S/F second leg on Saturday.
Both Kent & Belle Vue are at full strength today. Teams in alphabetical order with new averages are:
Belle Vue Colts Connor Bailey 7.64; Kyle Bickley 8.70; Leon Flint 8.80; Jordan Palin 8.82; Danny Phillips 6.36; Ben Rathbone 3.56; Ben Woodhull 3.67
Kent TouchTec Kings Dan Gilkes 8.00; Jordan Jenkins 6.55; Drew Kemp 8.14; Rob Ledwith 5.93; Jake Mulford 2.00; Anders Rowe 8.37; Alex Spooner 5.65
The first leg is staged at Belle Vue’s home track at the National Speedway Stadium , Kirkmanshulme Lane, Manchester M12 4WB – start time is 7.30pm
