CLASSIC LINE UP IN THEIR POMP WINS VOTE FOR THIS WEDNESDAY'S ACTION REPLAYED!
Tuesday 05 May 2020
The lure of seeing again the classic Kent Kings 2016 line up in their full pomp again saw the first vote to decide on the match from the past to be replayed on the Wednesday evening slot finish decisively in favour of the Kings taking on the Isle of Wight Warriors in the National League from May Day Bank Holiday of that memorable season.
In a rich vein of winning form and featuring a septet which included Luke Bowen, Danny Ayres, David Mason, James Shanes and Jack Thomas, the Kings welcomed the Warriors to their Central Park fortress and a May Day extravaganza of racing followed.
No need for a Track & Trace App for the Isle of Wight for this one, you can relive the excitement again this Wednesday at 7.30pm, Kent Kings vs IOW Warriors premiering on
Looking forward to next week also with another May week recalled from seasons gone by -
the matches to choose for Wednesday 13th. May are:
1) A Storming cup-tie vs. one of the most famous and much-missed Speedway clubs, Coventry from 2015 2) That 2016 side again giving it the Max against Mildenhall with a National Trophy Final place up for grabs 3) Scorching temperatures on a sun-soaked Bank Holiday (that's worth seeing in itself!) with Buxton Hitmen in town in 2018 4) Many observers' pick as the most entertaining meeting of last season: vs. Plymouth in a Gladiatorial battle in the National Trophy
Voting starts from this Wednesday and closes at the old curfew time of 8.30pm on Monday 11th. May - fans can pick their favourite choice on Facebook (either on the Official Kent Kings page or on the fans page, SOKKAR), on Twitter at @kentkingslive or by email to info@kent-speedway.com.
So remember: relive the action in Speedway heaven, each Wednesday at half past seven!
