With Aussie heat leader Cameron Heeps out of action with a shoulder injury after a crash at Ipswich on Thursday , Kent Touch-Tec Kings manager, Chris Hunt, is bringing in guest rider, Broc Nicol of Glasgow. The former USA Under 21 champion will be the first Statesider to appear in the Invicta race jacket.
Nicol is one of two Guests in the Kings’ line up this afternoon as Dan Gilkes will be driving back from Poland after representing Team GB in the European U19s Pairs.
His team mate in Gdansk on Saturday, ex-Kings’ man Drew Kemp of course now rides for Eastbourne but is expected to make the meeting at Arlington as he is able to fly back having bikes located in Gdansk which is his Polish League home track. Coming in to stand in for the missing Gilkes will be a face very familiar to the travelling Kings’ fans, former Kent rider Jack Thomas.
