It’s an absolutely vital National League match between Kent Iwade Garage Royals and Berwick Bullets at Central Park Stadium this evening (Tuesday) – 6.30pm start time.
For the hosts, beginning a run of five consecutive home NL matches with the aim of winning them all to take the title, they are without concussion victim Josh Warren. A fairly regular stand-in over the years in such emergency circumstances, Nick Laurence (previously of now defunct Eastbourne Seagulls) is the rider called upon to slot in at reserve.
For the visitors their two injury victims from Sunday’s defeat at Mildenhall are Luke Crang and Ben Rathbone. Crang has remarkably announced his recovery is sufficient to allow him to ride – proving it takes more than a prang to sideline Crang! There remain doubts over Rathbone and if he fails to make it, Rider Replacement will be used to cover for his absence.
The teams in alphabetical order are:
Kent Iwade Garage Royals: Jacob Clouting; Vinnie Foord; Dan Gilkes; Ryan Kinsley; Nick Laurence; Jake Mulford; Alex Spooner
Berwick Bullets: Kyle Bickley; Greg Blair; Luke Crang; Kieran Douglas; Ryan MacDonald; Ben Rathbone (tbc – or R/R); Mason Watson
