Kent Iwade Garage Royals have been forced into another late change to their line up for the match tomorrow (Tuesday 26th. October) against Belle Vue Colts with the news that Josh Warren has suffered a broken thumb.
The injury for the 2021 newcomer occurred in a track crash at Scunthorpe at the weekend and follows on from the non-racing incident where Alex Spooner suffered lacerations to his hand and arm while using a chainsaw.
Spooner’s replacement in the main body of the side is the former Mildenhall rider who hasn’t had a National League [NL] club this term (and so is classified as an unattached rider), Ryan Terry-Daley. Similarly Jamie Sealey (who like Terry-Daley has one previous Royals appearance to his name in an NL season where he’s been on the unattached list) comes in to replace the stricken Warren. Sealey is a former Isle of Wight Warriors rider.
Meanwhile, the Royals‘ opponents from Manchester, Belle Vue Colts may also be forced into a change at reserve after their captain Paul Bowen was injured in his first ride away at Leicester on Saturday night and team bosses Steve Williams & Graham Goodwin are sweating on his availability. The Colts need a win on Tuesday to leap frog the Royals into third place in the table. Meanwhile, a win for the hosts will cement a top three place in the NL for a fifth consecutive season/.
It’s just £10 admission (down from the normal £15) for this final Speedway fixture of the season at Central Park, with gates open at 5pm and tapes up at 6.30pm.
